The centrepiece of this transformation is the bold green addition—fondly nicknamed the "green screen" by the clients—which acts as more than just a façade. This architectural multitasker provides privacy from neighbours, shields the interiors from the scorching northern sun, and even doubles as a casual seat to soak up the morning rays.
The green screen’s vertical battens give the home a crisp, contemporary look, but it’s not just about appearances. The addition is designed to integrate harmoniously with the original home, borrowing colours, textures, and patterns from the heritage fabric but reimagining them in a modern, playful way.
