Narrow Site
This 259 metre square site has one long boundary facing a narrow road. More like an easement, the site is a quirk of the original New Farm grid. This long narrow house has a hard face to the road punctuated only by a long kitchen, window and front door. At the front door the house is only two metres wide and opens to the North facing landscape behind.
North Courtyards
Two courtyards face the north and distribute breeze and sunlight into the essentially one room deep plan. The house has 8 neighbours, nestled into the middle of this inner city block. The plan is crafted to provide privacy within this intimate environment. This is achieved whilst providing views out and allowing light in.
